Big Danny
Danny is 22. His parents love him and he loves them, but everyone agreed his life could be enhanced if he moved out on his own. That’s how he came to live with me. All 275 pounds of him. Danny grew up on a chips and soda diet. He wouldn’t eat anything else. Until he finally tried my lasagna. That was a breakthrough day. Dinnertime, no chips in the house, and a very ticked off, but very hungry Danny. I still remember him complaining while eating every bite. That was about a year and a hundred pounds ago.
I guess his parents were right. His life has been enhanced by living with me. I keep a photo of the big Danny in my wallet as a reminder. It makes me smile.
