My Friend Miguel

I am Joe and I’m fourteen. My Mom asked me to write this about my friend Miguel. Miguel lives with us. I don’t know how old he is, probably thirty or higher. When he first came I wasn’t sure how it would work out. Mom took time to help Miguel with his money and getting him to his job. I kind of stopped doing my homework. Mom got mad at me and I was sort of mad at Miguel. Then one day he wanted to talk. He talks really slow. He said, “Your Mom helps me a lot. Thank you for letting her.” I thought that was really cool to say.

Now we’re friends. He comes to all my soccer games. Everybody likes Miguel cause he yells so loud for our team. My favorite is when he yells Jooooooooe! It’s like the announcer on TV when he yells Goooooal! Yeah, Miguel is cool.
